vote for Sipadan Island

Sipadan Island

MALAYSIA

Sipadan is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 600 m from the seabed. It is in the Celebes Sea, east of the town of Tawau and off the coast of eastern Malaysia. It was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone, and took thousands of years to develop. Sipadan is located at the heart of the Indo-Pacific basin, the center of one of the richest marine habitats in the world. More than 3,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species have been classified in this ecosystem.

Beauty myths.

Hello, hello people. Here are some common beauty myths i found from a site, and i think it might be helpful,or rather useful for most of you out there.Nothing long, just something to enlighten and educate your mind[that's if you don't already know it,hehe].

Soap is bad for your skin.

Older formulas contained animal fats and vegetable oils. Newer soaps are formulated to be milder and some contain moisturizers that don't dry out your skin. Clean skin is better than dirty skin.

Shaving your legs will make your hair grow in thicker.

You have as many hairs as is genetically determined, regardless of whether you shave them. However, shaving can make hairs appear "stubbier" and perhaps thicker.

Drinking a lot of water leads to beautiful skin.

While drinking water is necessary for our bodies, too much will only result in bloating and too many trips to the bathroom.

Split ends can be repaired.

The only way to rid of split ends is to cut them off and prevent them in the future with good hair care.

Dry skin causes wrinkles.

Not true. Most wrinkles are caused from the sun.

You can wash acne and pimples away.

Scrubbing too vigorously will increase oil production and only aggravate the condition.

The sun clears up blemishes.

While the sun will temporarily dry out pimples, it interferes with healthy skin cells. This can cause a worse breakout a couple days after sun exposure.

Stick to one brand and line of products.

This beauty myth was probably put out by cosmetic manufacturers who want to keep customers loyal to their brand.

You don't need to use sunscreen on a cloudy day.

The sun's UV rays penetrate clouds and can still damage your skin.

Natural ingredients are non-allergenic.

Whether it's a natural or chemical ingredient, if your allergic to it, you'll see a reaction.

Chocolate and greasy foods cause acne. [one of the most common myths among the rest]

No one food has been proven to cause breakouts. If you find a correlation, quit eating that particular food.

You can shrink the pores on your face.

Your pore size is genetically determined. Pores may appear larger by bacteria and dead skin cells. Retin-A and alpa hydroxys are designed to break up these materials and bring the pores back to their original appearance.

Exercise Myths

Muscle can turn to fat.

Muscle and fat are two different tissues and cannot convert into the other. Decreased physical activity reduces your muscle tissue and your metabolism.

You can spot reduce.

You can't lose weight in any particular place before another. Your weight will first come off from the last place you put it on.

Those are the most common myths i've found so far.For more beauty tips and so on,do check out this site Beauty Online.Lots of infos for the beauty concious person inside, and other stuffs as well from make up tips to hair care, fitness and etc.By the way,its not for girls only, but for GUYS as well.SERIOUSLY.So guys, don't be shy to check this site out.You never know when it might come in handy. :)

Have you guys read Yahoo! News recently ? There was this article with the headline "The Best Job In the World ". The title itself really made me want to read more about this article.

It's about an Australian state offering a 6 figure salary job internationally just by lazing around a beautiful tropical island for a period of 6 months. The job pays 150,000 Aussie Dollars

a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates.

"The successful applicant, who will stay rent-free in a three-bedroom beach home complete with plunge pool and golf buggy, must be a good swimmer, excellent communicator and be able to speak and write English."

What are you waiting for ? 11 lucky candidates will be flown the island in early May or the final selection process and the six month contract will commence on July 1.

Beauty and the Teen. How's your self-esteem love?

Most of us teenagers face a lot of pressure to look good nowadays, right? But really, how much do we actually care about what people have to say about us?Does it really, really matter a 100% to get the society's approval on how we dress? How we wear our makeup, style our hair or for the guys, wear our jeans?[sorry about the guys part,i don't really know, hehe]

As our generation gets techier by the minute,so does the fashion. It changes every season, when its time to get a whole new wardrobe, haircut and colour and etc.If you follow all these fashion week stuff,do you actually believe that you must,i repeat MUST,change your look all the time? The answer : NO.Now i'm not saying its not important to look good,of course it is,cause' that's the very first and lasting impression that you leave on people whom you have never met.A teacher once told me,its the first impression that lasts,so be good and just be yourself. So basically, what i'm trying to say is,beauty,no matter how you define it,is in the eye of the beholder.Someone may say that your outfit looks bad, your fat, your ugly, your too short or too tall and so on,but deep down inside...do you know why they say that? Its because you may have something else that they don't,and amidst all the insult and negative comments, they really just wanna have what you do that attracts others to befriend you.

So being a girl especially,of course i freak at times. You know, maybe my clothes don't match,i have a huge zit on my forehead or whatever that makes us think that we'll look less pretty. But really...WE ARE JUST HUMANS..we tend to feel that we look good on other days, and some days we look like crap just because a zit just popped on our nose during photo sessions. In reality, you are your own judge.Your the one who makes yourself think that everyone else is saying your ugly or not pretty enough..ring a bell?A friend will tell you the truth, and when they do,some of us may take it as an insult, when all they meant was to help us out.Don't shoot them down for saying it,because if your the one who asked, then you should be ready for what they have to say.I for one believe that we are all beautiful creatures, created by God with our own unique abilities.

i am me.i'm beautiful the way i am no matter what you say...its me that matters.

Now,doesn't that feel good?To actually love yourself and your body,to learn how to accept all your flaws and not be brought down because of it...cause' honey, really, the world is a cruel place to live in...Nobody's perfect, and everyone's just trying to live their own life.We all want to be the best that we can, right. So i ask all of you,do you love yourself?Your self-esteem should never be kicked down by your pessimistic thoughts, because truly, only you know yourself. It may be hard for some of us,but shouldn't we start to accept that what we love is all that matters?Stop trying to be what your not if it makes you uncomfortable, and learn to be comfortable in your own skin.

If we really don't like what we see in the mirror, and start being hateful to our bodies...get HELP.You know you can always turn to your friends. They are your life support. Not only your friends, but also your family.Talk to someone, share your feelings. There's no good in bottling it all up.Your family and friends won't be happy if they see you feeling blue. That's why their there,to support and help you get through that difficult face...they love you,so don't push them away if their trying to help.

that's what friends are for.WE LOVE EACH OTHER. :D

Your whole outfit may not be perfect, but if that's your style, then just stick to it.People can't condemn you for wearing what you want right? So i urge all the readers,to believe in yourself more and boost your self-esteem.Nobody's self-esteem is worthy of being crushed or measured by the riches they have,or the clothes they own.We are what we are, imperfect yet beautiful nonetheless. So girls and guys,be YOU and show a little bit of love to yourself.Stop dictating yourself or procrastinating about what people will say, your beautiful the way you are!

Go out and show the world that nothing can stop you from being the true you. :)

Free Online Advertising site

Greetings readers,

Do you know that now you can advertise item that you wanted to buy or sell online with no charge at all ? Maybe some of you here been to this site before. www.mudah.my

On mudah.my , you can post ads for free. You can even search entire Malaysia for classified advertisements from private individuals and professionals, which includes cars, properties, employments, pieces of furniture, electronics or others.

Although it has minimal security towards buyer/seller transactions due to the fact that this is only a site for you to advertise for free. So whatever business you are dealing with either the buyer or the seller , buy/sell at your own risk.

As for my experience on dealing with 4 transactions so far, I still recieved the items that I bought safely. Tips on how to deal with fraud :

1. Do not make payment in advance if you don't know the seller
2. The offer sounds too good to be true
3. The other party keep bugging you to complete the deal
4. Someone asks for your bank account or credit card number
5. Just be smart when you shop.

hehehe... have fun buying / selling / advertising .

Cheaper RON95 Fuel in mid 2009

Again, on Fuel. ~LoL~

RON95 will be introduced by middle of the year. People who usually opt for cheaper fuel can now use RON95 instead of the old RON92. On the other hand RON97's price will be increased via a fuel tax, which will be used to subsidised the new RON95 fuel. It is said to be priced at the same level as the current RON92 price.

For those whose been wondering on how the prices are being calculated and how much the government is making from us via fuel taxes, fear not . A chart on how retail fuel prices in Malaysia are calculated will be introduced soon.

Boycott or not to Boycott. . . ? ?

What now ? boycotting goods ? There are some pros and cons regarding this matter.
Please read the article below ( taken from www.nst.com.my )

The Coca-Cola Company and its bottling partners yesterday issued a statement saying they did not support or oppose any country, government, political or religious causes.

Coca-Cola Malaysia public affairs and communications director Kadri Taib said the organisation was deeply moved by the situation in the Middle East.

The Malaysian Muslim Consumer Association had called for a boycott of popular US products, which include Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Starbucks and Colgate, saying it will teach the US a lesson for supporting Israel.

Kadri said the company was a diverse organisation and employed over one million people in over 200 countries.
He said in Malaysia 60 per cent of its 1,700 employees were Muslims.

So, what do you guys think about boycotting goods from US knowing that it may also end thousands of job opportunities to many ? To my opinion , this is not the way to threaten US, as you all know , not all of people living in the US actually agrees to support Israel. Not all of them were as cold blooded as you might think they were. If we do this, at the same we are blaming on the people of the US as well.

That is all I can say for now. Like I mentioned in my previous post how I dislike Politics? well go figure.
